Weber Shandwick Tackles Advertising With New Group Focused on Paid Media

The lines divvying up paid, owned and earned content among different types of agencies continue to blur, and Weber Shandwick's latest move might just cause them to disappear -- for the PR agency at least.

The Interpublic PR giant is revamping its advocacy group Sawyer Miller Advertising as a full-service ad agency called Sawmill, a Weber Shandwick Agency.

We Make Ideas That Go.

GO is our creative philosophy.
A great idea has GO.
Meaning, it takes on a life of its own.
We craft it, but it must be self-powered.
We give it life, but it has to be outfitted with passion, motivation and fast wheels.

It’s what we tell ourselves.
Get out there and find a great truth.
Come up with ideas. Lots. A constant flow.
It’s what we demand of the ideas we make.
Accelerate, with purpose.
Find an audience, incite them to play, make, buy, love, act, wear and share.

This is our strategic philosophy. Our strategy is born of raw data. From that, we hone and craft a strategic position that moves people to act. It is designed to get people talking. Get them to do something. Have an emotion. Change an opinion. Share, converse, post and comment. One line can change the course of everything. The Incite Statement is that line.

Every client has a win. Winning in the marketplace of products, brands or ideas. On Main Street or Wall Street. On Capitol Hill or in the real world. To get there, we craft strategically-focused campaigns that build brand equity. Shape public policy debates. Sell products. We are committed to campaigns that incite. Campaigns that win.
